Be careful little mouth what you say

Ephesians 4:29- "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
Let this verse be our reminder that if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything. Our words can hurt deeper than we intend. When my children were little I use to sing this song to them:

O be careful little eyes what you see
O be careful little eyes what you see
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little eyes what you see

O be careful little ears what you hear

O be careful little ears what you hear
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little ears what you hear

O be careful little hands what you do

O be careful little hands what you do
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little hands what you do

O be careful little feet where you go

O be careful little feet where you go
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little feet where you go

O be careful little mouth what you say

O be careful little mouth what you say
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little mouth what you say

Now as they are teenagers that same song comes to mind. Their words can be so cruel sometimes, their eyes see so much bad in this world, their ears hear so much trash spoken around them in public, their hands are often tempted to touch things that are ungodly & their feet often roam areas that are unclean.
As I think back on the words of this song, I trust that God hears my heart & knows the desires I have for my children.
If you are struggling with your teens being involved with things of this world that are not of God, I pray that you repeat the words of this song right now & ask God to let it be your prayer for your children. You may also let it be a prayer for yourself. If you are struggling with your words or maybe you struggle with going places you don't need to go. Whatever your own personal struggle is let God help you with it.
Myself, I lose control sometimes & speak out of anger. I ask God right now to help me control my words so they do not harm others around me.
Start right now being more Christ like. (showing a Christ like love that is unconditional)
Smile bigger! Hug a little tighter! Say I love you more often & give God praise for all your blessings today!
